Work out your price

Your price, from last season's card payments

Type what your customers paid by card last season. Cash and bank transfer add nothing, so leave them out. Every payment goes straight into your own Stripe account; this is Keely's share for the year. It starts at £156,000, the card payments of the sea school in the table below.

On £156,000 of online bookings a year, Keely costs £4,140 (£1,800 subscription plus £2,340 in booking fees), excluding VAT.

How we work it out

Keely is £150 × 12 months for each school, plus 1.5% of what was paid by card through Keely. Stripe's card fees are left out, because you pay them whichever system you use. Prices exclude VAT unless you tick the box.

Keely against a percentage, at three sizes of school

A percentage system charges on every booking, however it was paid. Keely charges nothing on cash and bank transfer, so the more that comes in that way, the more you keep.

A sea school: Two yachts, five-day courses, a shop for kit. £260,000 a year, 60% paid online£4,140 (lowest)£4,550£9,100
Two schools, one company: Two sites, lots of phone bookings. £480,000 a year, 55% paid online£7,560 (lowest)£8,400£16,800
A powerboat school: Two RIBs, one site, mostly weekend courses. £80,000 a year, 50% paid online. The £150 also pays for your website, your inbox and your boat and instructor records. Each one is listed below, under ‘What the price covers’.

Questions

Questions about price

If yours is not here, email hello@keelyapp.com, ask on the live chat or bring it to the walk-through.

Do you charge on cash and bank-transfer payments?

No, whichever way the customer booked: online, on the phone or at the office. Those payments go in the same diary as card payments, and we charge nothing on them.

Do my customers pay a booking fee?

No. The price on your website is the price your customer pays. We add nothing at checkout.

What counts as paid online?

Card payments taken through Keely, including pay links. The full list is under What the 1.5% is charged on above.

Who charges the card fees?

Stripe, at the rates on your own Stripe account. The money goes straight to you, and Keely never holds it.

Are prices with or without VAT?

Without. Every price on this page is before VAT at 20%. If your school is registered for VAT, you reclaim it as normal. If not, £150 a month is £180.

Is there a set-up fee?

Yes. Set-up fee quoted after the walk-through, depending on how much we move. It covers setting up, moving your data and training your team, and it is written down before you sign.

What do we pay over the winter?

£150 a month for each school, plus 1.5% of anything paid online. In a month with nothing paid online, that is £150.

We run two schools. Is that £300 a month?

Yes, plus 1.5% of each school's bookings paid online. Each school keeps its own website and Stripe account, and you see both in one group view.

Can you put the price up?

Only in writing, with at least as much notice as your own notice period, so you can leave before the new price applies.

How long do we sign up for?

Your notice period is agreed with you before you sign, so it suits your season. For the first 60 days you can leave and pay nothing more: the promise is under the price at the top of this page.

What happens if you leave?

There is no exit fee, and you take your bookings, customers, forms and web address with you. The records come as CSV or XLSX files, and you can download them yourself at any time. The promise, the notice and the export are in If you leave, just above.
