Keely Book a walk-through

Switching to Keely

Move in the quiet months. We do the moving.

Switching your sailing school's booking system is a job we do for you. A person moves your courses, bookings, customers and pages across, item by item, and you tick each part off before anything changes for your customers. It takes about six weeks from the day you say yes, and fits between the last course of one season and the first of the next.

    We move you across

We move your school across for you: courses, dates, customers and page addresses.

You check each part before anything changes for your customers.

    The plan, week by week

From your yes to your first bookings

The weeks count from the day you say yes, not from a date on the calendar, and you choose the day you go live.

    1. Week 1

      Plan

After a walk-through with your own courses, we send a written plan: what we move, who does each part, in which week, and every cost on its own line. Then you decide.

We do: A 30-minute video call with Jake. The written plan.

You do: Tell us which courses you run and what you use now.

    2. Weeks 2–4

      We set you up

We build your site in your brand and set up your courses, dates, prices, boats, instructors and forms. Bookings you have already taken come across with what each customer has paid. Then you check the move list against your old system.

We do: Pages, courses, boats, instructors and forms, set up by hand. Fix anything you mark.

You do: Send an export of future bookings and your forms. Tick each booking, price and page.

    3. Weeks 5–6

      Your team practises

Your office uses Keely alongside your old system. Test bookings, test forms, a dry run of a course week. Nothing goes to customers until you go live.

We do: Show each person in the office their part, on a call. Answer their questions.

You do: Take a test booking by phone and one online. Run a pretend course week.

    4. When you're ready

      You go live

Usually before your busy season, on a day you choose. Your web address points to Keely, and students book and pay their deposit on your own site. Keely sends each student their forms after booking and chases anyone who has not finished.

We do: Point your address at Keely with you. Check every redirect. Watch the first bookings with you.

You do: Stop taking bookings in the old system. Tell your instructors.

    Your season

Say yes eight weeks before your first course, and you go live with time to spare

About six weeks of work from the day you say yes, then a spare fortnight of bookings on Keely before your first students arrive. Most schools say yes in the quiet months.

    What we move

We move it by hand. You check every part.

A person moves your school across for you, item by item, and you tick each one off against your old system before anything goes live.

Bookings you have already taken for next season come across with what each customer has paid. Customers sign in with a code sent to their email, so nobody needs a new password.

    Moved this way

Sailing Course Online made the same move

Its course pages and articles came across one at a time, and every old page address was checked against its new page before the switch. Sailing Course Online sells its courses and takes its bookings on Keely.

Sailing Course Online · since 9 Oct 2026

Its website, checkout and bookings, moved onto Keely with every old page address checked.

    Your website

    Keeping your website addresses working

Links people have saved, and the addresses search engines know, should still lead somewhere useful after you move. We list every page your old site has, give each one its new home, and check each redirect with you on go-live day.

    Your website and shop

Every old address sends people to its new page

One move each, straight to the new page, never through a chain of redirects.

Your sitemap lists the new addresses

Search engines are given the new pages on the day you go live.

Course pages keep their live dates

The new pages show your real dates and places left from the first day.

    Leaving

If you leave, you keep all of this

    Sixty days to be sure

If Keely isn't right for you in the first 60 days, leave and pay nothing more. We'll hand you your data.

    No exit fee

Nothing to pay for leaving. Your notice period is agreed with you before you sign, so it suits your season.

    Your data comes with you

Your data and your domain stay yours: we hand you a full export.

    Your web address stays yours

It stays registered in your name. You can point it somewhere else whenever you choose.

    Your money is already yours

Your money goes straight to your own Stripe account. We never see card details.

    Questions about moving

    Before you move

Will our website go down during the move?

There is no planned downtime. Your old site keeps running until go-live day.

What if something goes wrong when we go live?

We watch the first bookings with you and fix what we find. The practice weeks are there to find problems before then.

    What does moving cost?

Keely is £150 a month + 1.5% of bookings paid online, for each school. Nothing on cash or bank-transfer payments. Card fees charged by Stripe. Billed monthly. Prices exclude VAT.

Set-up fee quoted after the walk-through, depending on how much we move.

    Will our customers notice?

Not until go-live day. Until then they book with you exactly as they do now, and their bookings come across with what they have paid.
